It’s acrylic on canvas. All my paintings are painted in pieces that are later stitched together on a sewing machine. In that sense it’s a collage. A large paint and canvas collage. Also, I prefer canvas that has “history” . So, the new canvas I buy is torn then washed and used as a paint rags. Then they’re stitched back into the sizes I use. When I start painting on it each piece is already a collage and has several coats of paint.
